　  On Sep.6th and 7th, CAS and UCAS President Bai Chunli held the first working conference in Beijing and attended the conference and made an important report. During the conference, Bai presented special contribution awardto academician Guo Lei for his contributions and exploration in institute fusion progress. This award is the unique award in UCAS as yet.

　  Bai gave a high evaluation to the collaborations between academy of mathematics and systems science (AMSS) and the mathematics department of UCAS in his report. He pointed out that it is very helpful in many aspects to set up graduate mathematics school. The Vice-President Zhan Wenlong affirmed Guo Lei’s contributions in his report as well.

　　  Since 2006, mathematical school has made many achievements in graduated educational reform and training top-notch innovative personnel. It also has provided a develop model and revelation to graduate education of all institutes of CAS.
