Then we will derive or explain in details the shape of the trace of Brandt matrices for quaternion algebras or algberas of prime degree, which are slightly more general. This approach was used to compute explicitly the traces of Hecke operators on the space of cusp forms of level p (S_k(\Gamma_0(p)). If time permits we will discuss the application to the class number of definite quaternion algebras over Q. | | Affiliation | | |
