Abstract
We study Whittaker-Fourier coefficients of automorphic forms on the metaplectic group of rank n. We formulate an analogue of the Ichino-Ikeda conjectures for them and reduce it to a local statement using the descent method of Ginzburg-Rallis-Soudry. We prove the local statement under a simplifying assumption.
